HDC was formed in 91 by the six members of the Crazy Brothers who began to organise events and meeting for other Harley Davidson riders in the area. In the first few years the meeting were held in The Calafell Pavilion, the only space available for such gatherings.

As the cub grew becoming more and more successful the meetings moved in 1994to The Quarry, the present site. At that time the site was nothing like the one we know now. It was cleared and levelled with sand first tried to make it more accommodating. Unfortunately this created a lot of dust and grass was eventually planted to give the space the look it now has.

In 1996 HDC became a member of the Harley Davidson Federation.

In 2000 the new Bellvei-Calafell road was build splitting the space in two. This change led to the proposal of building The Cantera and turning the space into the one we all now recognise.

Besides The Cantera HDC also organise other events in other places ranging from ride outs to pick mushrooms (no, not the magic kind but if you’ve ever tried them stuffed with garlic you’ll understand their effect!) to day trips around Montserrat and kids play parks at Christmas time (yes, bikers have families too!) One of the most important annual meetings is without doubt the Super Rally an international meeting held in a different country every year which HDC attend without fail. Another annual event is the Presidence Meeting, a European event which in 1997 took place in Calafell.

The club has it’s own merchandising. Apart from the obvious flyers and posters to publicise their events they produce T-shirts, hat, badges and pens, all with the HDC logo in full view.

In 2002 theXXII International Harley Davidson convention attracted over 3000 visitors and 1,200 bikes. A giant leap if we compare it to the first Convention help in 1991 when 80 bikes turned up…

At present the club has approximately 130 members.
